The first component of the Building Science Program is the rigorous curriculum that stresses both research projects and hands-on lab work in the form of the High-performance Tiny House. All of the research topics are also experienced hands-on by building the Tiny House.
On the Gist Form, enter the "gist" of your weakest skills in the left column.
Using the Building Science Standards, find the research topics that align with your "gist" (hint: CTRL+F is your friend); mark an 'x' in the appropriate box on the Gist Form.
The topic with the most 'x' should be the one you study first; develop a Study Guide by breaching on all the standards connected to that topic.
Week 2 of Unit:
Begin research by gathering and evaluating appropriate resources to help you answer your Study Guide questions.
Take notes to help you analyze and synthesize your learning later (I recommend the Cornell Method of taking notes).
Share your notes with the teacher to get valuable feedback.
